Obituary

Over the past few days a number of friends and family have been inquiring about visitation details. During these unprecedented times the funeral home is mandated to keep visitation numbers to a minimum of 10. In order to ensure this, visitations are by invitation only. The family is saddened to share this news with all of you who are wanting to show your support. They encourage you to leave your condolences online on the memory wall. Although this is a difficult time for everyone, we all must do our part to ensure we keep ourselves and our community safe.

God called Marcello peacefully on Thursday May 21, 2020 at the age of 74. He will be forever missed by his loving wife, Anna. Cherished by his dear children, Emilio (Keeley), Marcello and Nicola (Maria). Proud Nonno to Nicolas, Emilia, Nicky Jr., and Gianluca. Marcello will always be remembered by his sisters, Giuseppina, Lena, Rita, Anna and joins in Heaven his brothers, Antonio and Luigi. He will be held dear in the hearts of his sister-in-law, Angela (Pasquale Saggese) and of his nieces and nephews, Nello, Robert, Silvano, Johnny, Francesco, Franca, Aldo, Cristina, Gianluca and Domenic. Private Family Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332), with a Private Entombment to follow. If so desired, donations in memory of Marcello may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society. Online Condolences at: www.vesciofuneralhome.com

Hello from cosenza, calabria.

Ciao Zia, I am so saddened :-)

I don't know why family situations did not keep us closer in contact, but my fond memories of Zio will always be embedded in my heart.

As a small kid, I still remember your wedding night on Oakwood Ave. And visiting you and Nonna at your Parents house, and going downstairs to listen to you Paul Anka and Tom Jones records.

My fond memories of Zio were him trying to teach me how to fix a blown tube on a TV, or rebuild an engine in the garage. But my best memories were of going to work with him at the Airport and shine shoes!!!

As a small boy, I considered Zio as cool, and a geneous.
He was the first man I ever saw carry a man-purse, rigged up a toggle switch to start a car instead of using a key in the ignition...and of coarse, lets not forget having a man eating animal as a pet!!!

I also remember as a teenager, the Love you shared together.

I'm also glad to see a lot of his genes were passed down to the kids, so I think Zio Marcello will live forever.

Love, your nephew,

Aldo Belmonte
