God called Leonilda peacefully on March 11, 2020 at the age of 86. She is now reunited in Heaven with her loving husband Tarquinio. Cherished by her dear children, Amalia (Antonio Iantorno), Nando (Kelly), Giovanni, Lidia (Andrew Page), and Liliana (Vince Guarrasi). Proud Nonna to Michelle (Amit Das), Anthony, Nandy, Giancarlo, Paul (late Sarah), Steven, Justene, Shyla, Keya, Nicole and Christina. Adoring great-grandmother to Alessia, Devine, Coady, Emily, Lylah, Dante, and Liv. She is pre-deceased by her loving daughter-in-law Adriana and brother Alberico Grossi (Angela). Leonilda will always be remembered by her brother-in-law Vittorio Zannella (Lily). She will be held dear in the hearts of her family, relatives, and many friends. Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Sunday March 15, 2020 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday March 16, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. at St. David’s Roman Catholic Church (2601 Major Mackenzie Drive., east of Jane St.). Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery (on Yonge St., south of Hwy 7). If so desired, donations in memory of Leonilda may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Lung Association.
