Obituary

God called Giuseppe peacefully on Wednesday June 24, 2020 at the age of 89. He will be forever missed by his loving wife, Giuseppina. Cherished by his dear children, Gilda (Robert Martellacci) and Bruna (Daniel DiMonte). Proud Nonno to David (Sabrina), Nicholas (Diana), Nicole and Matthew. Adoring great grandfather to Luca, Samuel and Oliver. Giuseppe will always be remembered by his siblings, Luciano (Pamela) and Adriana, his sisters-in-law Caterina, Dora (Antonio Di Grigoli) and Giovanna. He is now reunited in Heaven with his siblings, Giacinto and Marco, his sister-in-law, Vera, nephew Vince and his brothers-in-laws, Nello DiIntino, Domenic and Tito Tozzi. He will be held dear in the hearts of his family, relatives, and many friends. Joe will be remembered for his smile, his hearty laugh, his kindness to all, and his willingness to add a helping hand. Joe was a rare breed who always ‘stepped up’.

Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Friday June 26, 2020 from 4-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday June 27, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church (Limited capacity). The Funeral Mass will be live-streamed; please connect 10 minutes before mass using the link provided by St. Clare of Assisi Church: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiZD1nl84PH1nI4rFkfGcwA
Private family interment to follow.

Donations in his honour may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. Online Condolences at: www.vesciofuneralhome.com
The government has implemented that all attendees at funerals must always wear a mask.

Masks are required at all churches and cemeteries. Those in attendance for services are required to bring their masks to the church and cemetery or you will not be permitted to attend the service.

As some of the restrictions are being lifted the Bereavement Authority of Ontario has posted their guidelines of what we are able to do. https://thebao.ca/bao_attendanceguidance_june15_2020/

We can have public visitations with a maximum of 50 people in attendance per visitation room

We can have funerals taking place at the church which allows for up to 100 to 150 people to be in attendance in the Vaughan area (once maximum capacity has been reached no exceptions will be made to allow for more friends to enter)

We can have from 10 people up to 50 people if outdoors in attendance at the cemetery.

We are encouraging all friends to come to the funeral home during the visitation periods if you are comfortable and meet us at the church for the funeral Mass.

We are asking for only the most immediate family members to join us at the funeral home on the funeral day and at the cemetery only.

We encourage all family and friends to leave a message on the memory wall online.
We continue to pray for all families affected during this most difficult time.

Dearest Giuseppina,Gilda,Bruna and family

Our deepest condolences, may you all be given strength and courage during your most difficult time.

Joe was our next door neighbor on Buxton Rd. He was a quiet humble man and took pride in his house and loved to lay out under the sun in his backyard in the summer. Joe was always ready to give you a helping hand. Rest In Peace Joe.

Dear Zia Giuseppina, Bruna, Gilda and Families,
We are so so heartbroken for the loss of Zio Joe. He was a very special and important part of all of our lives and we will miss him terribly. We will hold dear to all of the memories we made and shared together while visiting in Canada, Carapelle and especially Florida. We will forever picture him in his garden, the cantina or playing Scala Quaranta.
All our love,
Byron, Daniela, Victoria, Alexandra, Claudia and Giancarlo.
